School visits
Bring learning to life with a school trip to the Museum of Illusions Nairobi! Our museum offers students a unique opportunity to discover the fascinating world where science, art, and perception meet. It’s a space where reality and illusions creatively come together, making education not only meaningful but also fun and memorable.
Our interactive exhibits use light, movement, perspective, and reflections to create mind-bending illusions that spark curiosity and imagination. Subjects like mathematics, physics, psychology, visual arts, and history naturally become part of the experience. Students can experiment with perspective to learn the principles of art and photography, explore the science of vision and perception, and discover how illusions connect to everyday life.
A school visit here goes beyond academics—it inspires teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking in a playful environment. Both students and teachers are encouraged to actively participate: looking, touching, and becoming part of the illusions themselves. Every installation invites exploration, and every moment becomes a chance to learn by doing.
Plus, the fun doesn’t stop there—students can capture their favorite illusions by playing with perspectives and creating memorable photos. Whether using a phone, camera, or simply sketching what they see, these moments become powerful learning tools, turning the experience into both a keepsake and an extended classroom lesson.
Whether you’re planning for a single class or an entire school, the Museum of Illusions Nairobi promises an unforgettable educational adventure that blends discovery, creativity, and pure fun.

A Great Experience for Everyone
We often host multiple school groups at the same time, and we strive to ensure an enjoyable visit for all. As a teacher, you are responsible for supervising your students and reminding them to be considerate of other visitors. Our staff will be available throughout to provide guidance and assist with both practical and educational needs.
Encourage your students to draw and take photos and reflect on their experiences, as these moments not only create lasting memories but also reinforce classroom learning. Please help your group keep to the agreed schedule to make the most of the visit.
Where to Eat Lunch
Eating and drinking are not allowed inside the Museum of Illusions. We recommend having lunch before your visit.
Alternatively, you can plan a meal afterwards at nearby restaurants such as Giriraj or Java House, both located close to the museum. We are happy to assist with prior bookings at these restaurants upon request.
After the visit
After the visit, teachers are encouraged to continue the learning back in the classroom using our worksheets and discussion prompts. Students can reflect on their favorite illusions, share the photos they created, and connect what they experienced to subjects like science, art, and mathematics. This reflection helps reinforce the lessons learned at the museum while keeping the excitement alive.
